KGK Scaffolding was entrusted with delivering an extensive scaffolding, edge-protection and temporary-access package at Project Redkite, a major hyperscale data-centre development in Slough.

Forming part of Slough’s established data-centre cluster, Project Redkite represents the type of large-scale, mission-critical digital infrastructure increasingly essential to the UK’s technology sector. Projects of this nature are characterised by demanding construction programmes, extensive building services and significant coordination between specialist contractors.

KGK provided access solutions supporting multiple disciplines across the development, including steelwork, roofing, cladding, concrete and M&E activities, requiring the scaffolding package to continually respond to changing construction sequences and site requirements.

The works incorporated extensive edge-protection systems, HAKI stair access, scaffold access towers, temporary staircases and platforms, loading arrangements, exclusion zones, lifting gates and bespoke protection solutions across the project.

With construction progressing across numerous work fronts simultaneously, ongoing scaffold alterations and adaptations formed a significant part of the package, ensuring access arrangements continued to support the evolving requirements of the wider programme.

Delivering within such a large-scale and technically demanding data-centre environment required detailed coordination, flexibility and responsive temporary-works planning throughout, demonstrating KGK’s capability to support complex mission-critical construction projects.
